Item Description
Buttons are 1" to 1.75". Group begins with two c. 1938 buttons ( 1st litho, 2nd cello)  promoting the newspaper comic strip. Third is c. 1941 and likely issued by Merita Bread. Next are a pair of 1940s plastic charms with color inserts of the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Next are five identical buttons issued in 1959 as part of the U.S. Savings Stamp program run by the U.S. Treasury as "The Peace Patrol". These usually are seen without hangers but these each hold a ribbon and plastic charm consisting of: lasso, spur, hat, horse head/spur and rider on bronc. Last, and rare, is the same design as the 5 cello buttons but this is a 1-3/8" litho which we've seen only about five times. Tiny paint wear but Exc. Other items are VF to Mint.
