Authentic, opened 1977 Early Bird Set Mailer Kit, ©1977 Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp. Original white mailing box (missing one end flap) and Vacuform plastic tray hold action figures including double-telescoping lightsaber Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca (w/original version translucent green bowcaster) and R2-D2. Box has no mailing label and is possibly an early approval sent from Kenner to General Mills based on other items from the same source as well as the geographic location of the source. Fine overall. Tray has some corner denting and small hole to corner of compartment holding R2-D2. Fine. Includes mini-catalog and Action Stand offer paper, both of which show some handling wear and are Fine/VF. Foot pegs for cardboard stage missing. Luke Skywalker's double-telescoping lightsaber is variety w/the no lettering, circle indentions. Verified to have originated from the same source as other pre-production "Star Wars" toys including carded white footer double-telescoping Ben Kenobi and Darth Vader. Pinpoint spot of paint off back of Luke's belt and trace aging to R2-D2's label, but o/w figures are NM. Comes with notarized Collectible Investment Brokerage (CIB) LOA.
