Item Description
Complete set of 10 1-1/8" wide by 1-7/8" tall die-cut tin litho, each marked on base "One Of A Series Of Famous Cartoon Characters. Look For Others In Cracker Jack." c. 1930s. Each standee has full color Chicago Tribune character image on front including - Smitty, Herby, Harold Teen, Chester Gump, Perry Winkle, Uncle Walt, Skeexiz, Little Orphan Annie, Moon Mullins and Kayo. Each has had base bent as designed. Standees show varying degrees of wear, w/Uncle Walt having moderate oxidation at upper right and lower half of Kayo is covered w/tiny dents. Both are VG. Moon Mullins has a couple faint bends and Harold Teen has spot of oxidation to top edge of rim. Fine. Rest are VF overall w/some lt. scattered aging/wear. Rarely found complete as a set.
