Item Description
Very early Radio Orphan Annie premium pair of 1.25" pin-back buttons  from 1931 (second only to Ovaltine's  Annie sheet music) one of which was sent to respondents who voted in an Ovaltine-sponsored contest indicating their preference "Showing That You Like Orphan Annie's or Joe Corntassel's Way Of Making Ice Cold Ovaltine Best." Those who voted for Annie's way with ice received her "Orphan Annie" portrait button while those voting Joe's way with ice cream got his  "Joe Corntassel" button. Trivial loss of silver flashing from the reverse. Joe has small scratches in reflected light and dot rub on edge at 8. VF displaying NM. Annie is high grade, high gloss and displays Mint. Both scarce but, now after years of observation, we must conclude more kids liked Ovaltine Joe's way with ice cream.
