1.75" w/"Dieges & Clust 20 John St." New York back paper and union bug on curl at 6 o'clock. Crisp real photo portrait of Hughes at right w/an etching of a bearded Lincoln at left. Slightly uneven surface as made. Only light wear in reflected light. NM as made. A superb design and extremely rare. Among the most desirable Hughes buttons, the first we've offered in our 53 years. The New York firm that produced this button also cast the Heisman Trophy from 1935 to 1979 and the first Most Valuable Player medal awarded in baseball.
