Item Description
1" & 1.25" each w/a "New York 9" union bug on curl and back stamp. Late 1940s. First reads "Outlaw Anti-Semitism And Discrimination." A .25" vertical split on curl at 6 o'clock and faint scattered age toning in background. Fine. Second reads "Combat Anti-Semitism & Fascism American Jewish Labor Council." They were considered a communist front group operating in the late 1940s into the early 1950s. Moderate wear in reflected light. The group worked against German rearmament post-WWII and provided aid to decimated Jewish populations in Europe. Exc. Rare.
