Item Description
12.5x17"artboard comes w/vintage mat that was once glued to artboard. Mixed media original art for cover to "The Phantom" #8, published by Gold Key Aug. 1964. Action-packed cover by George Wilson shows The Phantom battling men on a rooftop, one man sneaking up to strike him w/butt of pistol. Men on the ground fire guns upward and rainbow appears in bkg. over exploding building. Edges of artboard have printer registration labels affixed and margins show some lifting of paint along line of glue used to secure mat to painting; most notable at upper right corner. VG overall, but main image remains clean and displays Exc. w/mat in place.
