Item Description
Baranger Motion machines, or "Baranger Motions" were mechanically animated window displays for jewelry stores produced from 1925 to 1959 by the Baranger Company of South Pasadena, CA. The displays were never sold, instead they were rented to jewelers on a monthly basis. These hand-made and highly detailed displays covered many themes, this one features horse drawn stagecoach. 14.5" tall (to top of driver's raised whip) by 25.5" wide by 11.5" deep. When plugged in and turned on, chain-driven motions include - horses move up/down, wheels rotate and couple inside stagecoach lean in to kiss. Display consists of several different materials including cast metal horses and composition figures. Fully functional. Jewelry advertising text plaque at center of display reads "You Will Always Be On The Right Road With One Of Our Beautiful Diamonds." Display is evenly aged and shows some scattered wear, most noticeable to text plaque, which has some surface hairlines and tiny edge chips. Fine/VF. Comes w/original large shipping case w/company labels. For this item, third party shipping is required, contact us prior to bidding for details.
