Item Description
8x11" mount w/"David B. Edmonston Washington DC" photographers imprint at bottom center. 4.75x7" portrait affixed at center. Inscribed and signed on mount "To Gen. Anson Mills" at top and "Your Friend Champ Clark" below in black fountain pen ink. Mount has moderate age and minor losses at top right and bottom left corners. Silvering at edges of print. Overall Fine w/signature and inscription remaining bold and Exc. Will frame beautifully. Mills, an Indiana native and Union Civil War veteran, was responsible for laying out and naming El Paso, TX. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
