Item Description
7.75x10.25" program cover for the Harlem Globetrotters' 1953-1954 season. Cover has been signed in pencil by 13 players who played in college, the NBA and/or w/the Globetrotters. Of note, this includes NBA HOF members George Mikan, Paul Arizin and Nat Clifton, who was one of the NBA's first African-American players and played w/Harlem 1947-1950. Other players include - Ed Mikan (NBA), Bill Spivey (college, Globetrotters barnstorming teams), Pete Monska (Washington Generals) and William Gardner (Globetrotters, NBA preseason), Jock Garrett (drafted NBA, Globetrotters), Hank Decker (drafted NBA), Bevo Francis (college, Globetrotters barnstorming teams, drafted NBA), J.C. Gipson (who spent 20 years w/the Globetrotters) and Dave Salley. Cover has slightly uneven left edge as removed w/some small scattered edge tears/edge wear. Right corner tips off. Fine overall, but signatures display well. Rare. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
