Item Description
Pair of 8x10" matte finish photos show NASA portraits of astronauts Alan Shepard (1923-1998) and James Lovell. Shepard, who became the first American to travel into space 1961, and walked on the Moon in 1971. Shepard has signed in black ink. Photo has faint paperclip marks at top right and center right as well as some lt. handling wear. VF. Lovell, as command module pilot of Apollo 8, became one of the first three humans to fly to and orbit the Moon. He also served as the commander of Apollo 13, which suffered a critical failure en route but was able to safely return to Earth. Lovell poses w/spacecraft model and has signed in black felt tip pen, which is a bit faint but still legible. This is an official NASA litho print w/back bearing NASA logo and brief printed biography. Photo has some scattered handling wear and margin wear at left from storage in a three-ring binder. VF. Both photos have been personalized to same person. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COAs.
