Item Description
2x4" bronze presentation piece given to Olympic committee members and the like. Engraved French text on obverse translates to "Willingness - Strength - Beauty Through Sports" and features classical male athlete standing w/laurel crown in his raised hand. Reverse features Olympic rings w/enameled paint accents and w/The Belgian Olympic Committee name as well as recipient's name - Richard Vereecken w/additional Dutch text that translates to "In Gratitude For Services Rendered." Vereecken served as the treasurer for the International Federation of Trampoline (FIT) in 1964, the year of the first World Trampoline Championships. Obverse shows some scattered lt. wear, two .25" to .5" spot of pinpoints indents, just above Olympic rings (including small flake of black enamel paint off) and on 1963 date. Fine overall. Very limited issue.
