Item Description
1.75" (38mm) white metal. DeWitt/Sullivan 1828-6. Front features portrait w/"And. Jackson President Of The U. States 1829" around perimeter. Despite the 1829 date, this is assuredly an 1828 campaign piece- tradition during this era was to use the date a candidate would assume office. Finish loss and wear from moderate circulation. VG. Retains sharp details. Material from the 1828 campaign is very scarce and this medal is rarely offered.
