Item Description
11x17" artboard has pencil original art by Luke McDonnell that has been inked by John Beatty. Art is for page 21 of "Marvel Fanfare" #5, published by Marvel Nov. 1982. Page from "Shall Freedom Endure..." story features five panels, featuring a flashback World War II sequence in which Captain America and Bucky Barnes fight Nazi Hans Stryker (who wears mechanical suit), w/Captain America stopping him by throwing his shield into his chest. Captain America appears in all but third panel; Bucky appears in three panels. Top margin has "Marvel Spotlight" and "Marvel Fanfare" titles and issue/page numbers. Artboard has some dust soiling and handling wear to margins, but art remains clean. Screentone shield and shadow accents have aged but o/w art remains clean and Exc. Back has Marvel copyright inkstamp.
