Item Description
Rare 7/8" on 2-3/8" pin with reverse naming maker "Brunner Bros. Co./Cleveland, O./Pat Apd For". The front features a rebus design of high relief white enamel baseball against the design of a hand held fan and thus reads as: "Baseball Fan". This 1906 Chicago Cubs ball club was widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball teams in National League history, finishing with an all-time N.L. best record of 116-36 but, amazingly, lost the World Series to the cross-town rival, Chicago White Sox in six games. The 1906 Cubs were led by four National Baseball Hall of Famers: Frank Chance (MGR/1B), Mordecai "Three Fingers" Brown (SP), Joe Tinker (3B) & Johnny Evers (2B). Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
