Item Description
Only example known to Hake's, this blank back fob is 1-5/8" tall on lightly worn 3.5" strap. Pictured full figure and towering over a catcher and home plate is a batter with "N.Y." in raised letters on his uniform. The New York Giants won their second consecutive National League pennant in 1912, finishing with a record of 103-48 under National Baseball Hall of Fame manager, John McGraw. The ball club was led by their dominating pitching staff headed by dual HOF starters, Christy Mathewson and Rube Marquard. The Giants would go on to lose the 1912 World Series in a tightly contested match with Boston, 4-3-1. Strap fine and fob Exc. with original luster traces. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
