Item Description
19-7/8x27.25" poster features image of older man in "YMCA" uniform overseeing younger man lifting "YMCA" crate w/Doughboy soldier silhouette in bkg. Art by Gil Spear. Bottom has "Lend Your Strength To The Red Triangle - Help The 'Y' Help The Fighters Fight" text. 1918. Remnants from date sheet at bottom. Poster has some scattered handling wear w/a few small margin tears and 1" tear at upper left (by older man's elbow) and left margin has strip of moderate aging. 10" crease at upper right and two horizontal creases running across top half of poster. .75" tear at lower left corner and tiny tip of upper left corner. Would make for Fine framed display. Dan Makara Collection.
