Item Description
1.25", no maker, with very worn under the spring pin purple short ribbon and aged white ribbon holding the charms. The 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers won the National League pennant with a record of 98-55 under National Baseball Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston. The offense was led by a quartet of future Baseball Hall of Famers: Roy Campanella (C), Jackie Robinson (2B), Duke Snider (OF) and Pee Wee Reese (SS). Leading the mound corps was a rookie left handed starter named Sandy Koufax, who would go on to become the most dominating lefty in National League history. Brooklyn would go on to defeat the mighty New York Yankees in seven thrilling games to take the 1955 World Series. Very fine and light all over scratching but button retains nice gloss and has no stain. VF. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
