Item Description
The most frequently seen maker name on baseball scorers is that of Parisian Novelty Co. of Chicago who seems to have held the main patent. Thus, the hometown rival advertising specialty manufacturer, Cruver Mfg. Co. needed their own design. What they came up with is made of two die-cut sheets of celluloid with five notched wheels in between and all held together by five rivets. This puts the five "windows" on the front of the item and leaves room on both sides for advertising text. Front includes ad slogan "Makes 'Em Lay" and image of a Globe and hen. Reverse lists five different poultry feed products of The Albert Dickinson Co., also of Chicago. A NM rarity. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
