First example Hake's has offered, 1" real photo button w/St. Louis Button Co. back paper. Martin was honored in St. Louis on Sunday, June 18, 1939 prior to a Cincinnati vs. St. Louis game, receiving a beagle hound puppy and a pair of brood mares. Pepper Martin began his Major League career with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1928 and was an esteemed member of the famous "Gas House Gang" of the 1930s. Martin was a four time National League All-Star and finished in the top 10 in NL MVP voting twice.
