Wally Westlake began his Major League career in 1947 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he played for the next five seasons through 1951 before moving on to the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles and finally, the Philadelphia Phillies.
