Item Description
1.75" no maker with spring pin holding ribbon, chain and plastic ball and glove. Mickey Mantle began his Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees in 1951, taking over in center field for a living legend, Joe DiMaggio. Mantle would star for the Yankees for the next 18 seasons before finally hanging up his spikes for good in 1968. Along the way, Mantle would win the American League triple crown in 1956 with incredible numbers: .353, 52 HR's and 130 RBI's as well as copping three American League MVP awards and finishing second in the balloting on three other occasions. Mantle would finish with career totals of .298 along with 536 home runs and 1,509 RBI's and was selected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. Slight fraying of the smaller ribbon edges that hold the brass chain. Slight rippling of the plastic surface on the front of the glove. Button has minimal surface wear and much gloss. Exc.
