Item Description
1-1/8" dia. litho featuring c. 1934-1935 image of Flash Gordon wearing a winged helmet as he appeared when introduced in his Jan. 1934 Sunday comic strip. This "Flash Gordon Club" was sponsored by the "Chicago Herald And Examiner" newspaper and button was made by Geraghty & Co. of Chicago as noted in tiny text on curl. Front view shows loss of eight tiny dots of paint so paint is 99%+ complete and free of marks that can be seen un-magnified. Trace loss to brass luster flashing on back. Still totally bright, glossy and Exc. Rarely found in this choice condition.
