Item Description
31x43" thick cardboard sign features large image of Howdy Doody w/"Wonder Bread" loaf and text promoting both the bread as well as TV show. These signs were displayed on sides of bakery delivery trucks, 1950s. As exposed to the elements by design, these signs had a short lifespan. Sign shows expected moderate wear w/heavy wear at corners and along margins, which show small holes as attached and scattered small surface paper lifts. Center right has 6.25" tear which extends into Howdy image. 2.5" tear below this. VG overall. This is the only known surviving example of this sign.
