Item Description
22x28". Two-sided poster advertises concerts that took place at Avery Fisher Hall - Lincoln Center. One side advertises Jazz WRVR/M. Morton Hall sponsored July 19, 1974 concert featuring noted spoken word performer, soul and jazz poet, musician and author Gil Scott-Heron along w/Charles Earland, Norman Connors and Pat Martino, all of whom are pictured in redtone photos. Top margin has obvious moisture staining w/moderate edge wear to top right edge. Opposite side advertises M. Morton Hall sponsored Sept. 13, 1974 concert featuring jazz trumpet legend Miles Davis. This concert took place just prior to his five years hiatus due to health reasons. Poster features stylized photo of Davis performing at upper right and image of three trumpets. His name dominates center of poster. While moisture staining was rather prominent on opposite side, this side was printed in opposite orientation, so that moisture is at bottom of Miles Davis side. Moisture is only really noticeable at lower left corner margin though some rippling is present. Bottom right margin also shows edge wear. Some corner creasing. Technically VG, but Miles Davis side could be framed for nice display.
