Item Description
18x22.5" screened on uncoated cardstock. Headline "In This Korner Miles Davis" promoting his "April 16th Thru April 21st" residency at the legendary North Beach jazz club. Art features six portraits of Davis, in oversized dark sunglasses, at center. Left side has four tears most notably a 4" diagonal that affects the graphic and two less than 2" long affecting the brown background at center. Edge chipping along right side that will easily frame out. Otherwise moderate handling wear. VG but will frame to Fine. Davis' group consisted of Dave Liebman, Pete Cosey, Reggie Lucas, Domenique Gaumont, Michael Henderson, Al Foster, and James Mtume at this time and the show occurred less than a month after the live recordings that would make up 'Dark Magus.' Keystone Korner was considered among the best Jazz clubs in the nation during the 70s before closing in 1983.
