Item Description
Pair of hand-painted, three-dimensional high density foam wall plaques depicting McDonaldland characters Captain Crook and The Professor. Made by Setmakers, late 1970s/early 1980s. These displays were used to decorate McDonald's then newly designed Ronald's Room and Ronald's Playrooms at McDonald's restaurants. Captain Crook stands beside two cartons of french fries and holds his wooden sword aloft. Total height is 23" tall. Metal loop on back for hanging display. Exc. The Professor is depicted w/long beard as he appeared in the late 1970s (he would get a shave but keep the mustache and don a helmet before being retired in 1985). He steps on one of three anthropomorphic cheeseburgers at his feet and he holds a beaker in his hand. Both beaker and his hand show some scattered paint wear. Tiny nail hole w/some scattered paint wear to top of The Professor's bald head. VF. Extremely rare as designed solely for restaurant use.
