Item Description
Vintage 8.5x11" photocopy for "Easter Horror Show" that took place April 10, 1982 at Elite Club in San Francisco, CA. The show featured The Misfits (w/founder Glenn Danzig), Flesheaters, The Undead (from California, not Bobby Steele's band), Meat Puppets, Jody Foster's Army and Deadly Reign. Flyer features The Misfit's Crimson Ghost mascot at lower right w/"Night Of The Living Dead" text. During the show, various audience members threw bottles and cans at the bands, and one fan repeatedly tried to hit Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein of The Misfits in the head with beer cans. After five songs, Misfits roadies jumped into the audience to stop him. During the fight that ensued, Doyle attempted to use his guitar to pull the main instigator of the brawl towards the stage, accidentally breaking the guitar over his head. A riot broke out, and The Misfits quickly left the stage. Contrary to various legends surrounding the story, the fan was not killed, and did not file charges. Pencil notation on reverse in top right corner, o/w extremely clean. 1/8" tear along top right margin but o/w Exc. Obtained at time of show by consignor.
