Item Description
Lot of three offset litho flyers for early 1980s San Francisco, CA concerts. Front of double-sided 8.5x11" flyer advertises Bill Graham-sponsored concerts that took place in 1980 at the Warfield Theatre that featured the B-52's (Oct. 16-17) , The Talking Heads and The English Beat (Oct. 23-24). Back of flyer promotes concerts at The Old Waldorf featuring The Psychedelic Furs, The Units, Vktms, Toronto, Johnny & The Distractions, Bus Boys, Flamin' Groovies, Burning Spear w/The Titans, The Tremblers, Purple Gang w/Spys, The English Beat, Native and Fischer Z. Faint corner crease at top left, o/w bright, clean and Exc. 8.5x11" flyer advertises Oct./Nov. 1981 concerts at I-Beam that featured Duran Duran, Pig-Bag, Human Sexual Response, Pylon, The Professionals (flyer was altered to note the band's cancellation) and New Order (noted as "Formerly Joy Division"), who performed Nov. 9. Pencil notation on reverse in top right corner, o/w extremely clean and NM. Smaller 5.5x8.5" flyer advertises New Order headlined "Special Event From The United Kingdom" that took place at I-Beam June 25, 1983. Flyer has some scattered handling wear w/corner creases at lower right and is VF overall. All were obtained at time of show by consignor.
