Item Description
11x17" thin cardstock poster for July 23, 1983 concert featuring The Police, w/Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, A Flock of Seagulls, The Fixx and Simple Minds that took place at Comiskey Park in Chicago, IL. Poster design features photo of Police members Stewart Copeland, Andy Summers and Sting. The concert was produced by local Chicago radio station WLS AM 89 and MTV, w/headliners The Police appearing just over a month after the release of "Synchronicity," their most successful album, responsible for hits like "Every Breath You Take, King of Pain, Wrapped Around Your Finger" and "Synchronicity II." All but Simple Minds had also just released new albums; Joan Jett & The Blackhearts had released "Album" in July 1983, A Flock of Seagulls had released "Listen" (their second album) in April 1983, The Fixx had released "Reach The Beach" (their second album) in May 1983. Pin holes at top left corner and top center. Poster has some lt. scattered handling wear and smudge to left of "The Fixx" name. VF overall.
