Item Description
Illustrated box contains 16.75" long futuristically designed plastic friction rifle made in Spain for the foreign market by Bernabeu Gisbert, late 1970s (c. the original release of Star Wars). Unlicensed, but box text translates to "Machine Gun - Star Wars" and box features images of Darth Vader as well as obvious likenesses of Luke Skywalker, C-3PO, R2-D2 and X-Wing and TIE Fighter facing off. Box shows obvious wear w/creasing to side panels and heavy corner tip wear w/4" edge split at right. VG. These guns came in several color varieties (this is striking gold/green color variety; we sold a blue/yellow variety in a better box for $1,972 in our last auction) and feature no Star Wars graphics or designs. Translucent red windows reveal working sparking function/shooting noise and gun appears unused. Some lt. aging/wear but o/w Exc. Rare foreign market toy.
