Item Description
First example Hake's has offered, 2.25" w/curl naming maker J.B. Carroll, Chicago. Different arrangement of 18 player photos without names compared to previous mirror of 19 player photos with names. The center row of three photos begins with all-time great Hall of Fame shortstop, Honus Wagner, the same photo as on his famous T206 card, next is fellow Hall of Fame manager, Fred Clarke, third is Deacon Phillippe and he has a 1/8" vertical cello crack on the left side of his face, and fourth (in the 3 o'clock position) is Sam Leever with a near microscopic 1/16" craze line by his right ear. A third Hall of Fame member, Vic Willis appears on the outer rim (at the 1 o'clock position). The 1902 Pittsburgh Pirates stormed through their National League schedule, winning the title with one of the top records of all-time, 110-42 under player/manager Fred Clarke.
