Item Description
3.5" no maker w/union bug stamp on brass luster back with bar pin. This variety has crossed bats image above the team photo as opposed to the date of 1953, as does the previous lot. The 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers won the National League pennant with a fantastic record of 105-49 under manager Chuck Dressen. The offense was led by the future Hall of Fame quartet of Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese and Duke Snider along with future managing great, Dick Williams and Carl Erskine on the mound. Brooklyn would go on to lose the 1953 World Series to the powerful New York Yankees ball club in six games. A few widely scattered light scratches in reflected light, about six scattered virtual pin point raised dots of cello and one tiny dark dot over the head of the player in top row, third from right. High gloss and Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
