Item Description
2.25" litho with white metal back, brass bar pin and two Chicago union bugs on the curl. When Yankees manager Casey Stengel referred to the Milwaukee team as  minor or "bush league", some took the insult as a compliment. Milwaukee had the last laugh that year winning the World Series. The 1957 Milwaukee Braves won the National League pennant with a record of 95-59 under manager Fred Haney. The offense was led by the future HOF trio of Hank Aaron, Ed Mathews and Red Schoendienst. The mound corps was led by Hall of Fame lefty great, Warren Spahn, winner of 363 career games. The Braves went on to defeat the New York Yankees in seven games to take the 1957 World Series. Couple tiny dots of wear. Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
