Item Description
From same rare and desirable set as previous four lots. 1.25" w/W&H back paper. Fred Clarke was the manager as well as star outfielder for the 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates ball club, finishing the season with a .287 batting average to go along with 3 homers and 68 RBI's. Clarke would go on to play a total of 21 seasons in the Major Leagues, finishing with a career batting average of .312 along with 67 home runs, 1,015 RBI's, 1,622 runs scored and 509 stolen bases.
