Item Description
1.25 no maker. Great photo of him in White Sox uniform, smiling with his "chew" puffing out his right cheek. Nelson Fox began his Major League career in 1949 with the Philadelphia Athletics as a speedy defensive-minded second baseman. From 1950-63, Fox would vastly improve his hitting while starring for the Chicago White Sox, leading the American Legaue in base hits on four different occasions. Fox would finish his career with a batting average of .288 along with 1,279 runs scored and 790 RBI's. Fox would be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
