Item Description
1.25" no maker. The Homestead Grays were the Negro National League's dominant team throughout the decade of the 1940s. The Grays were certainly not lacking in star power as they would employ the likes of Josh Gibson, Buck Leonard, Raymond Brown, Cool Papa Bell and Jud Wilson, future National Baseball Hall of Famers all. Homestead won the league title in 1940 with a record of 42-23, just nosing out the Baltimore Elite Giants for the championship. Trace of age to back. Front is glossy, Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
