Item Description
11.5x15.5" artboard features pen and ink original art for single panel from Feb. 5, 1967 Sunday page titled A King Earns a Throne. Panel features art by legendary Prince Valiant artist Hal Foster (1892-1982), showing Prince Valiant commanding group of the King of Dinmore's bodyguards to form a wedge to protect against the approaching forces of the Earl of Grosmont. Hand-lettered text panel is paste-over at bottom. Foster has signed art at lower right. Upper left has "Prince Valiant" title stat which shows obvious aging/glue staining, w/some lt. staining surrounding it. Upper left margin has thin strip of tape. Art remains clean and VF/Exc.
