Item Description
The Four Horsemen of Notre Dame comprised a group of college football players at the University of Notre Dame under coach Knute Rockne. They were the backfield of Notre Dame's 1924 football team. The players that made up this group were Harry Stuhldreher (1901-1965), Don Miller (1902-1979), Jim Crowley (1902-1986) and Elmer Layden (1903-1973), all of whom are in the College Football HOF. Offered here is a professionally and attractively double-matted and framed display measuring 17-3/8x24-7/8" featuring classic image of the Four Horseman in leather football helmets, each w/football under their arm as they pose atop four horses. Below this photo are four openings, each showing black ink signatures on autograph album's pages. Ink Layden used to sign has aged to brown in color but remains totally legible. Stuhldreher's signature has horizontal crease running across the lower portion of the "Y" in his first name. Signatures are VF overall, but makes for Exc. display as professionally framed under Conservation Grade UV Plexiglas. An amazing display piece for any Notre Dame fan. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
