Item Description
17.25x20.75" partially printed document. Hayes appoints "Arthur Gannatt Woods" a "Companion Of The First Class Of The Military Order Of The Loyal Legion Of The United States" on Feb. 6, 1892. Signed at lower right by Hayes in black fountain pen ink. Three short vertical margin tears along top edge at left that would easily frame out. Moderate handling wear and faint age toning in field affecting left third. VF. Retains original red seal and signature remains bold. Comes w/Hake's COA & JSA LOA.
