Item Description
Original slipcase (w/"Joe Kubert" gold foil signature) remains shrink-wrapped but has been opened. Moderate corner tip/edge wear along opening. Fine. Slipcase contains 8.75x11.25" hardcover that was printed as a limited edition by Vanguard Productions, ©2009. The Deluxe Edition hardcover was limited to 750 copies w/100 of those featuring original art sketches. This example has been boldly signed in blue ink by Joe Kubert (1926-2012) on front endpaper. Frontispiece features highly detailed mixed media original art sketch of one of the comic book characters most closely associated w/Kubert - Sgt. Rock. Art has been inscribed "Aug 1, '10 - To Rob - Best Regards - Joe Kubert" in black ink w/hand-numbered "63/100" edition number. Tiny ink smudge on page opposite but o/w Exc. Book's cover has some stray red marks from slipcase along spine, but not distracting. Classic Sgt. Rock art by Joe Kubert.
