Item Description
Lot of three approx. 4x6.25" to 4x6.75" artboards w/pencil and watercolor original art by Wesley Morse (1897-1963), noted for his creation of Bazooka Joe in 1953 for Topps bubble gum, and also for creating the Copa girl for the Copacabana night club. He's also noted for his work on 8-pagers, aka Tijuana Bibles. Most of his work is unsigned. Art offered here features leggy beauties in classic pin-up poses. Backs of two have some errant watercoloring, but this does not affect fronts, which remain clean and Exc. Well-drawn examples by a gifted cartoonist.
