Item Description
On June 22, 1937, Comiskey Park in Chicago, IL hosted a World Heavyweight Championship bout between Jim Braddock and Joe Louis. This was The Brown Bomber's first shot at the title and the fight saw Louis secure the belt by knocking out Braddock in the eighth round. Offered here is a full 2.5x7" ticket featuring photo portrait of both fighters. Ticket originally cost $3.50. Lower right corner has some creases and ticket is VF overall. Comes w/8.5x11" souvenir program w/24 pages. Program features contents on both fighters. Program has not been scored. Vertical fold at center w/scattered handling wear. Fine overall. Great pair for this classic boxing match.
