Item Description
The long-delayed rematch of Joe Louis and Billy Conn's 1941 fight (which had been delayed by World War II and then uncooperative weather) was held at Yankee Stadium June 19, 1946. Considered a disappointment due to a crowd of just 40,000, Louis easily beat Conn by knockout in the eighth round. Offered here is a 2.75x7.25" full ticket for Mezzanine seating. The ticket cost $50 and features photo portraits of both fighter. Ticket is unused and evenly aged but o/w Exc. Comes w/8.75x11.75" fight program w/extensive features on both fighters as well as the history of boxing. Vertical fold at center. Fine.
