Item Description
11.5" tall cloth doll by Knickerbocker features great depiction of Barney Google from Billy DeBeck's Take Barney Google, F'rinstance/Barney Google And Snuffy Smith comic strips. Doll is stuffed w/cotton and straw and is dressed in original outfit consisting of felt hat (pinned to head), jacket, vest and tie along w/checked cotton pants and cotton twill shoes. Doll's body has cotton twill over wire arms and hands feature stitched fingers. Painted cotton face w/glass googly style eyes. Stands well for display. Tip of one shoe has 3/8" hole and 3/8" split on back edge of other foot. Painted eyes show wear to white portions. Fine overall. Scarce early comic character doll.
