Item Description
This is a replica of the classic 13" tall mostly tin robot designed after Robby The Robot from the classic sci-fi film "Forbidden Planet" made by Osaka Tin Toy Institute in 1991. The original was produced in Japan by Nomura c. 1957. Box features accurate replica of original box graphics w/great illustrations on all sides of lid. Complete w/all cardboard inserts and "The Tin Age Collection - Mechanized Robot" membership card. Lt. aging/wear and minor creasing but still displays Exc. Toy works and walks forward as pistons and lights operate inside the clear plastic dome. Arms are manually adjustable from side to side and rubber hands remain pliable. NM as originally issued for $695 in 1991. High quality robot.
