Item Description
10.5x15.75" comic page stock artboard has original art in blue pencils by Larry Lieber and inks by John Tartaglione. Larry Lieber is an American comic book artist and writer best known as co-creator of the Marvel Comics superheroes Iron Man, Thor, and Ant-Man and for his long stint both writing and drawing the Marvel Western Rawhide Kid. Lieber is the younger brother of Marvel Comics writer, editor, and publisher Stan Lee. Art is for page 2 of Rawhide Kid #73 published by Marvel Comics, December 1969. Five panel page has opening groundwork for the storyline "The Manhunt" where Rawhide Kid is hassled by the local Sheriff and is offered a job by an elderly couple. Top margin has handwritten issue/page numbers. Lt. handling wear. Reverse has Comics Code Authority inkstamp and some lt. soiling. Front of artboard has some scattered soiling/dust soiling at margins but art remains clean and VF overall. Post-It note on back w/note by inker and initialed.
