Item Description
13x20" Strathmore artboard has pen and ink original art by Jerry Grandenetti. Pencil layouts by Joe Orlando. Art is for page 13 of Fight The Enemy #1, published by Tower Comics, August 1966. Title page from the second story in the issue The Well In The Desert features half splash with two panels, showing a broken down U.S. Army Jeep in the scorching desert being spotted by a German halftrack as both are seeking water from a well that leads to a tragic ending for all. Top margin has handwritten issue/page numbers. Signed in pen by artist on right center of page. Reverse has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Arete Studios stamp lower front margin. Artboard has some scattered soiling/dust soiling at margins but art remains clean and VF overall.
