Item Description
1.5" w/W&H on reverse of each. First has design w/filigree border around handshake motif and raised lettering "U.M.W. Of America 8 Hours." Reverse has finish wear along left side not visible on front, displays Exc. Second features bust of a hawk w/text around perimeter "1st Biennial Convention Dist. No. 13" w/UMW "8 Hours" logo at right and "1914" at left. This piece is likely from Iowa where John L. Lewis, the eventual President of UMWA began his rise to prominence. Surface wear from light use. Exc. Enamel is gorgeous w/subtle details.
