Item Description
10x12" silver gelatin print. Inscribed in black fountain pen ink "To W. P. Closson With Kind Regards Of Leonard Wood May Eleventh 1920" in lower right margin. Finger print in right margin and at top center. A horizontal tear that extends just into the background at lower left. Otherwise light silvering of image, corner crease at bottom right and minor fading of ink. Fine. Wood played a significant role in shaping many of the United States's major developments in the early twentieth century: progressivism, expansionism and colonialism, military reform, preparedness and American intervention in WWI, and the election of 1920. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
